Hi,

you need to use the iPlayer app which you can download from the market. You can't use the website.

All the best

Andriod Slates.

Hello-thanks for the reply. There was a BBC iplayer icon already installed as an application on the Tablet which I clicked on and which immediately took me on to the bbc iplayer website but none of the available programmes would play once I clicked on them. Best Regards,Ian

Adroid Slates deserve a pat on the back for actually getting BBC Iplayer working with Android 4.0 and Flas 11.1. Many other tablet owners report problems with this and we have also got a 10" Android 4.0 tablet (from another provider) that just won't do it. We downloaded Iplayer app on to our Neuropad and it works straight away. Could be worth opening your Browser settings, go to Advanced settings and check which browser type (e.g. Android, Ipad etc) you are currenty using, then experiment with others listed.

OK,

my advice to you is to go to settings, then apps, then click the 'all' tab on the right.

Go to iplayer and select uninstall.

Then go to the market and download the iPlayer again, this should solve your problems. We have not had any reported issues with iPlyaer not running and have tested it thoroughly ourselves.

Hi-took your advice and uninstalled the BBC IPlayer, then downloaded BBC IPlayer from Android Market and installed. There was an improvement but when I clicked on a programme,it just buffered for ever.I then noticed there was an update for Adobe Flash 11 so I updated and then re-booted the tablet and hey presto, suddenly the BBC IPlayer is working. Thanks for everyone's advice in solving my problems.

Cheers,
Ian

Meant to ask in my previous posting-on this tablet, how can you check that the screen resolution is set to its maximum (best) or does it just do this by default? Is there some setting I can change to adjust the screen resolution/quality when viewing streamed videos?

Cheers,
Ian

Hi,

there is no way to adjust resolution, it will play back the video at the best resolution available automatically. iPlayer videos are very low res unfortunately, if you watch an HD youtube video you will see the difference instantly.

Mi Mr Murphy, this is a well known iPlayer bug not an issue with the tablet. You can have a hunt around the internet, it is packed with complaints about it.

It is indeed a well known iPlayer bug (the bias towards Apple by some is v irritating) but a quick search on Google will provide some very simple work arounds if you are using iPlayer through the browser.

now working perfectly, think it was just a connection issue. Love this pad!
