I bought one of these initially and loved it so bought a second one, I so wish I had consulted with Mystic Meg though would have saved a lot of heart ache.
Firstly it takes three AA batteries which do fit in the compartment if you squeeze them in with a shoe horn...it also runs off USB too.
After a week I noticed that the USB lead was hard to attach took a look and saw it was rusted on the point where the USB plugs into the fountain, then I noticed more rust on the metal grid that goes under the fountain...um, isn't this a water feature? So why the heck is it rusting away!
After another two weeks it stopped working altogether so I sent that one back, so I thought I would grab out my second one and use that. Now I am starting to notice rust on that one too...really bad for a water feature. Oh and as for that tight squeeze in the battery compartment that seems to be the norm on this product.
Other then that I initially loved it, you have the option to customise it. I had a nice clear plastic figurine of a dolphin which I used in mine (not included with fountain) and it looked lovely lit up with the water falling on it. The sound is a bit loud, not really a relaxing trickle but a down pour of heavy rain.
I am hoping Amazon will let me return this second rusty one or it will have to end up in the bin...I really hope the company that makes these will fix these issues and re-release it as it has good potential.
