It should do. I see no reason why not, as long as the signal isn't protected. As far as I'm aware it will capture from any unprotected HDMI output. I've used it for Apple TV and Sky+. There are ways around the copy protection, too.

One additional thought- you will also be using the PC to record to via a USB connection from the HD PVR, so it would possibly need a second PC to record to since it might well be too much to ask of the same PC. see less

Yes, you would need to connect a component (red/green/blue RCA cable) video output from the Mini DV player to the HD PVR box, then you can connect the HD PVR box to the TV and PC/laptop.

It may work if you use component cables however it won't work over HDMI due to HDCP (high definition copyright protection) .. If still unsure please google information on there website .. Thanks

I've not tried this but as long as you set it up as you would a gaming device, connecting it to your sky box via a hdmi cable and to your computer via the usb, you should be able to record it to your computer. It works by capturing the screen though so the show will have to be playing.
