Yes it works really well but I found that the quick WPS setup did not work so had to follow the manual set up instructions provided with the TP Link adapter.

I don't really understand the question (another drive???), but it shouldn't need anything other than power and a UTP lead to the device.

I have a WD live hub connected to my wireless network via the TP-Link, and I can browse and access media on it from my android phone using DLNA. So in my case at least the answer is "yes". I hope this helps.
