Ive got medium as averagd size weight woman. Am not sure how appropriate it is usuage wise for a child! as my kids are early twenties now. But I guess all IT is used by children avidly these days. yes the band just vibates , and no you cant set it to your sleep patterns but you just set the alarm time on your phone via the up app

I am the same size and I wear a large band. Small would definitely not fit.
