It comes with a USB lead so you can charge it through a laptop but I had an old ipod charger that the USB fitted so used that to charge from mains

Flew transatlantic with mine no problem. In fact that was why I bought it - didn't want to run out of music/films halfway through a 14hr flight!
Security stations now ask you to switch laptops/mobiles on for them so they can tell they're real. So I'd say similarly make sure this is charged and be prepared to demonstrat… see more

I have. I didn't think it took much longer than charging from the mains electricity. Maybe 15 minutes longer max.

It does support 'passthough' charging but the Anker 13000 will charge it's own internal battery to 100% first and only then will it charge any attached devices.

Using the (very handy) button on the side that lights up small blue LEDs, I can tell you that I last fully charged it 10 days ago, and today it seems basically still fully charged.

Try charging from a powered USB port on a computer. Sounds like an issue with the battery so suggest contacting anker customer support who are meant to be very helpful.
