Hello Kaio,

http://www.hgst.com/hard-drives/mobile-drives/9.5mm-mobile-hard-drives/travelstar-7k1000 (you can download the pdf specification sheet here)
http://www.hgst.com/tech/techlib.nsf/products/Travelstar_7K1000 (there are 160+ pages of details here)
HGST also mentioned that it is not a good idea to run this or any drive 24/7 as they have a finite life within itself, even if you discount accidental damage/failure. Also I noticed the "name in the log file (as \Device\Ide\IAAStorageDevice-2", is the Device\"IDE" referring to an IDE drive utility which is not relevant to this "SATA" drive?
...or call HGST directly on 0207 133 0032 in the UK or check this page for your local number. http://www.hgst.com/support/contact-support
I hope this information is helpful to you.
I'm currently using this drive as the primary drive in my MacBook Pro (with a continuous wireless backup running). So far no issues.

Answer:
I don't really know much about the workings of the ps4 but I would imagine so. The HGST Travelstar is very fast indeed. 7200rpm and 32mb Buffer is high spec and for the money its a steal. I would recommend it, I'm very happy with mine.

If your drive is currently slower in rotational speed than 7200rpm then the new drive will be faster. If your current drive is 7200rpm then some other factors come into play, but overall it should not be slower. However if your current drive is faster than 7200rpm, then there is a possibility that the higher capacity drive may prove to be slower. I cannot be more specific since my knowledge is more Mac-oriented. The benefit of this drive is both good capacity and speed, and reliability is excellent so far, having never been switched off since I bought it some six months ago. I hope this helps.
