No. this stand is a folding, portable, aluminium "spider stand adjustable for laptop size. No plugs or sockets at all! I ;ove it though.

It raises the laptop on a slight tilt, so at the front it is raised about 1 and 1/2 cm and at the back I would say about 2cm. I can work comfortably on my desk without any worries about my laptop overheating :)
