No clock, hence no alarm. A pity, for that would make for a very well rounded radio, but as a radio it is very good, with a lovely sound and sturdy construction.

1) If you are running off mains then the display will stay illuminated but if running on the battery then the display illumination will switch off after a few seconds
2) The volume dial is on the side and yes it does go down really low

Is has an internal CHARGER not internal batteries. If you buy good quality NiMH rechargabke batteries then you'll get a better charge. Hope this helps. It doesn't come with batteries so you'll need to buy these separately

The red light comes on then the Radio switches off. personally I wouldn't buy it again. I recharge the batteries with a separate charger.They last for three weeks just using the radio for approx half an our a day. ( in the bathroom.
