This beautifully illustrated board book takes little readers on a journey through the night. We are shown the different ways in which various creatures enjoy their repose - in peace and quiet, standing up, on the move, and even with both eyes open! Throughout the night, the owl is ever-present, watching over their slumbers until the morning comes.
The text has a gentle quality, which perfectly complemented by Il Sung Na's drawings. As it's a book about night time, the colours are not always very high-contrast, so it's not a good book for very young babies. My eighteen-month-old daughter has enjoyed it very much, and I find that it makes a great calming bedtime story.
