Format:Board book|Amazon Verified Purchase
This beautifully illustrated board book takes little readers on a journey through the night. We are shown the different ways in which various creatures enjoy their repose - in peace and quiet, standing up, on the move, and even with both eyes open! Throughout the night, the owl is ever-present, watching over their slumbers until the morning comes.

The text has a gentle quality, which perfectly complemented by Il Sung Na's drawings. As it's a book about night time, the colours are not always very high-contrast, so it's not a good book for very young babies. My eighteen-month-old daughter has enjoyed it very much, and I find that it makes a great calming bedtime story.

Wonderful Artwork 4 April 2011
Format:Board book
This is a wonderful book for budding illustrators, with an unusual ethnic twist to the pencilling. Check out all the intricate detail hidden under the colours. Unfortunately it didn't keep my 2 year old interested after the 10th read, but I'll claim it as a favourite myself.

This is such a beautiful book with utterly stunning illustrations! A very simple idea of an awake owl watching other animals sleep in the night. Just gorgeous and my 20 mth old loved it immediately!

Good good.
Neat story book - very calming subject as it talks about the different ways animals sleep. The pictures aren't very bright so might be ideal as a nightime settle down book.
