OK, so no chance of an Oscar for best cinematography with this DV, but considering the size and price it has to be a consideration for capturing those unexpected moments. Smaller than a lighter, it takes video that is quite impressive (though you do need a microSD card as well). Instructions are gibberish, but simply by playing about with it you soon work things out. I bought it to go on my telescope to enable me to do video astronomy.

This is basically an MD80. Instructions are useless (see youtube for instructional vids) and no micro SD.
Have put a samsung class 6 4Gb micro SD in it and works great smooth recording and adequate quality in most light.
For the size and money is good but can get cheaper (MD80's) which this appears to be. The lights on top indicating recording or stanby are tiny and cant be easily seen in daylight.

Cheap and nasty 22 Feb 2012
By Duncan
I ordered this item in November 2011 and the first one I received was faulty. This was replaced without any problem but now the replacement is faulty after only four months.

I read some comments saying how good this is but it really isn't that good, even if it is very cheap at under £15. Image quality is very poor in low light or when used on bright days when the sun is low and casting shadow. It doesn't cope well going from bright areas and shade, it can't adjust to give a happy medium between the two.

I suppose it depends what you want to use it for but I think spending a bit more money for something better would be wise. In short...I wouldn't recommend you buy it.
