If you think this product is going to make your chopping experience easier, look elsewhere. It's a nice idea but poorly executed in this case. I can confirm a few comments made in other reviews:
-It requires a lot of pressure for items that offer even the mildest resistance. I had to take two extra layers off an onion to get it soft enough to work. I also had to use my whole body weight on half a small onion.
-Cleaning is a hassle. Food gets stuck in the plastic used to push items all the way through the grid. It's really tricky and fiddly to remove.
The only reason to buy this is for the presentation of the chopped food. When it works it makes the neatest little pieces of vegetable you could ever hope for. Unless you're making canapes or some other decorative meal this really isn't something you need.
Suggestion to the manufacturer: make the blades a LOT sharper and redesign the closing mechanism to protect the user from them. Consider moving away from a hinged design or use a stronger material for the handle.

Having had a number of choppers over the years, the biggest problem has been that getting them clean made it quicker to just chop by hand. Not now - this just pops apart and goes in the dishwasher! It cuts the onions brilliantly, in a choice of two sizes. The catcher is only big enough for one onion, but it's easy to lift the cutter off to tip the onion out, Substantial and sturdy. Cuts all other veg I've tried, too. Just brilliant!

Bought this Onion Chopper? a while ago but only tried using it today, what a waste of money and time.
It never chopped any onions as they said it would and I had to finish off using a knife and chopping board!
It then took me about twenty minutes to clean it and had to end up using a screwdriver to get all the bits of Onion out!
I would not recommend this "gadget" it is a complete waste of money!

falling apart

Does not live up to expectations
Onions need to be cut into smaller pieces than suggested. Needs quite a lot of pressure on the handle to press the onion through the cutter especially the finer cutter. Read more
