5.0 out of 5 stars Great Vinyl 12 Jan 2014
Format:Vinyl|Verified Purchase
The middle frequencies are exquisite on this Lp. I'm sure fans of this album wont be disappointed. It's easily one of the best vinyls I've heard. The album seems to end so quickly. As they say I suppose time flies when your having fun. For the price it's a bargain. This is my second favourite Young album behind on the beach. Anyway enough of irrelevant me, it's a warm and thought provoking experience.Enjoy

A great Neil Young and Crazy Horse album - up there with Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere and Rust Never Sleeps. Some great guitar sounds and, if nothing else, this record has Cortez The Killer. Nice to get it on mint vinyl like this, and it's just like when I bought it for the first time back in the mid-70s.

My favourite Neil Young album. On vinyl. It's all I need in life. Great music on what I still consider to be the best format. It was under a tenner too. Happy days!

5.0 out of 5 stars exhumed 7 Feb 2014

Nearly 40 years after this was released I finally heard it. Neil Young has always been a challenge when buying a new album of his without hearing it first. There have been some homeruns and a few strikeouts. I can't go back 39 years and offer a reason I by-passed this. I did buy a couple earlier releases when they came out and many after (26 in all plus the Springfield box).
So, I was in my favorite record store a couple of weeks ago and this was playing. Didn't know what Neil Young lp was playing and had to ask. But I can say I was blown away. Rarely do I get mesmerized by whatever a store is playing. But immediately went to the couple of places this would be, vinyl first then CD. It was not to be found.
Of course I bought it, and here. I did so because it was the unheralded songs that reeled me in. Certainly not bought for Cortez the Killer. A great but oft retreaded song that is the most well known here. I simply needed to get this record (vinyl) and having Crazy Horse on it is a real plus. It's Neil at his melodic best.
I'm sure no one reading this needs an introduction to Neil Young but if you're a fan and you don't have this - - GET IT.

5.0 out of 5 stars Long Live The Horse! One of his best!!! 3 April 2013
By A. Minarchick - Published on
This is one of the greatest NY & Crazy Horse (or for that matter NY solo) albums ever made. This album flows, the band "jams" and it's raw (but not too raw) in sound and as real as it gets. I find myself going to it at least once a month and I listen to the whole thing all the way from start to finish every time. If you are a NY fan and (for some crazy reason) don't have this album, then get it now! if you are new to the Horse and want to check them out Then start here (and definitely get "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere".) ASAP

It sounds good, there are a few good songs on there. One of the more known albums, but not one of the best.
