Excellent,
By A Customer
This review is from: Zucchero - Zu and Co. Live at the Royal Albert Hall London [DVD] (DVD)
The place, atmosphere, and performance are all of a very high quality, including sound quality and filming. The band and guests line-up is excellent and the whole concert rocks beautifully. Zucchero himself seems born for the stage. The intensity builds with each guest artist performance better than the next, until we reach Pavarotti, after that the crescendo builds with what seems like three or four encores getting more and more intense each time.

This is a gem of a concert, truly amazing. The names involved are quite impressive: Brian May, Eric Clapton, etc...
The guests do a great job (of course, there's only so much you can do, as guitars go, with these songs; I mean, it's not like you can pull a solo a la "Brighton rock" on these ones :-D Actually, Brian May cuts a little short the intro on "Il mare impetuoso al tramonto..."; check out the look on Zucchero's face on that one, ah ah... But that's the beauty of live music, as far as I'm concerned. If I want a pitch perfect performance, I'll stick with the studio album. My only complaint concerns the picture quality. I'm sorry, but - on my 50" plasma tv - pixels look just too big. That's a real shame. I trust one day we'll get a blu-ray edition. Audio is fantastic.
