I've been a fan of the TV series, Zoo Vet At Large, for ages, but didn't know what to expect from the book. It was funny! Any book that makes you laugh out loud has to be worth reading. "Bugger, it stood up..." is a classic opening line, and sets the tone for the whole book - easy to read, but also a fascinating insight into the life of the author. There is the vet's life, the TV presenter life, family life, a bit of Yorkshire...and the animals! Really good fun and highly recommended.

It's great to see so many animal-orientated books around at the moment and many of them very humorous. Zoo Vet is a fun read and has been added to my collection of books written by vets, the favourite of which to-date, is Pets in Prospect by Malcolm Welshman. I just wonder how these vets find time to write books in their busy lifes. But I'm certainly pleased they do as as their insights into their world of animals are fascinating.

I bought this book after watching the TV series Zoo Vet At Large and found this book to be as funny and interesting as the TV Series. It gives an insight into Matt's work, home life and mixed feelings about his encounters with different television producers. Overall this book is a recommended buy for anyone who has seen the series or even anyone who takes an interest in the world of veterinary. Great Book.
