Bought as a present for my 11 year old son this is proving to be an excellent purchase in terms of both value for money and for all-round playability. With this pack you get the basic Zoo Tycoon game and the two expansion packs, Dino Digs and Marine Mania.My son is a fan of other strategy games like Rollercoaster Tycoon and Age of Empires so I was pretty confident he would appreciate this game, what has surprised me though is how much his 9 year old sister has also enjoyed the game. A typical girly-girl not really into computer games she has really loved the challenge of providing the needs for the different types of creatures. It is also showing to be a game where they can play together without any form of nasty competitiveness, with so many games having a "shoot and kill" ethos, this is proving to be a most refreshing change. I can see this game being played and played and played and with the educational value also taken into consideration, I have no objections to this at all. Great stuff.

Zoo Tycoon is a brilliant game. When you look at it some people think " Hey animals, BORING" but you'd be wrong! In fact Zoo Tycoon is a realistic, challenging whale of a time (sorry). There are about 100 or something animals to choose from, from anteaters to Allosaurs, warthogs to walruses( and whales), Orang-utans to Octopuses. To make it more interesting, with the two expansion packs you can place swimming pools for your elephants, or make shows with dolphins, orcas and even otters! This has an amazing price , and it's worth every penny. Oh, and if your on the net, when you start up Zoo Tycoon you can download new animals like asian elephants, wild dogs, and a yeti (I kid ye not-it's about 15 foot high, has white hair, blue skin, and a ferocious appetite.) This game will last for hours, and is defintely worth the money.

I bought this game some time ago and am still hooked on it. The Marine Mania bit is really cool, the Dinosuar bit is a bit more difficult to master though. All in all I would strongly recommend it.
