This book goes into detail about all of the aspects that should be carefully considered in the planning of a survival strategy to survive the Zombie Apocolypse (ZOMPOC).
The amount of times you'll find yourself considering your own plans, or mapping what the book says to your own house, county and surroundings is scary... especially if you find yourself wanting for some of the most basic necessities!
Most of this book could be applied to other disasters where society may be stressed to the point of failing, although obviously it's main focus is defense against the undead/infected, the daily survival, and ultimately the fight to reclaim (at least) your part of the world!
What I particularly like is that it is written by UK authors. This means that your not expected to be holding a gun within the first 5 minutes of the ZOMPOC with a big grin on your face... our gun laws will require us to have an even stricter plan to survive and greater invention!... But yes, there is a detailed section on guns so don't panic!
British Authors also mean that illustrations offer enough UK/USA mix to satisfy everyone... There's modifeid landrovers as well as hum vees, the good old british fire engine as well as the USA style ambulance, for example.
The vehicle modification section fires the imagination and just makes you look at your car and think "Hmmmmm... how cool would my car look with bull bars and gun mounts!"
The book is well illustrated throughout with a sketched type effect that underlines the feel of lost technologies as the world slips back to the middle ages.
Buy it if you want to survive! ;-) (or just want to give a gift that's truly different)

I really enjoyed this book, it is written in a very dry manner, and that is what makes it continually entertaining and funny. The artowk added a great visual cue as to how the writers see the Zompoc. Yes there are some typos throughout, but who cares? They aren't that bad and don't really detract from the fun factor. If you are looking for slapstick comedy, this isn't for you, if you can appreciate a more dry and subtle satire, this is the one!

This book is an essential survival guide to getting through a Zombie apocalypse that anyone will be glad to have read. It is a great reference that has been crammed with meticulously researched information. With a serious look at an array of topics balanced with the right amount of witty humour the book covers everything from preparing for the upcoming apocalypse, to combating zombies and then restoring civilization.
The guide has a fantastic selection of artwork. Arrays of pen and ink illustrations feature everything from gun wielding fully armoured knights to the greatest use of a super soaker I've seen.
Other than a few typos through the book I could find nothing wrong with it and would recommend it as a gift or read for anyone interested in this genre.
