2.0 out of 5 stars Horrors of Impulse-Buying, more like 29 Jan 2010
By Neal Vincent VINE VOICE
For this review I'm going to stick to factual information about the DVD. Critical opinion of the film itself has already been taken care of by other reviewers...!

Notice the 18 cert on the DVD pack shot? And the 15 cert on the Amazon product info? To clarify: the film itself claims to be a 15 cert and (noted in very small writing on the back cover) the 18 cert is due to a trailer included on the DVD. You don't often see publishers placing "certificate inappropriate" trailers on discs, forcing the certificate of the package as a whole to be raised above that of the main feature for the sake of a trailer, but it's not unheard of. So let's give publisher Point Blank the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure it's not just a cynical attempt to sucker people into thinking they'll at least get some decent 18-rated gore here. At least the certification situation is more obvious here on Amazon than if you were looking at the physical product in a bricks and mortar shop.

The back cover of the DVD claims (quote) "Extra Features include: Commentary, Visual FX demo, Behind the Scenes documentary, 5.1 Surround Sound, Trailers" - only one of which is actually true. Yes, there are two trailers. But there is no commentary, no behind the scenes stuff, and even the audio is DD2.0 according to my player. Well, let's be charitable and assume that the absence of the extras listed on the cover was a genuine mistake on the publisher's part, and not a heinous case of bare-faced fibs. Again, things are better here on Amazon because the Amazon product info doesn't claim that there are any extras and so you won't be factoring false information into your decision whether or not to buy the DVD. Like I did.

And the film's real title is "Horrors of War" not "Zombies of War.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bowfinger made this movie....... 12 Jan 2010

Please, please, please don't waste your money on this. The only film I've seen that's worse than this low budget, badly acted nonsense is Small Town Folk. They spent more on the picture on the front of the box than they did on the film. You have been warned!

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible just got worse 17 Sep 2010
After seeing this film I had the urge to pluck out my own eyeballs it was that bad. It is more painful to endure than pile surgery without anaesthetic.

The best thing about this film is........ well, let's face it there isn't anything good about it.

If you want to waste your money then this is the film for you.

Utter rubbish.

(It gets one star as this system doesn't allow me to give it none.)

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad, bad film 14 May 2010
This is my 3rd attempt to write this, all I can think of is.....

Just don't bother with this film. Nothing about it is good. I felt dirty after watching it! The effects are horrible (the scene with the parachute drop, looks like an early windows 95 flight sim!) the story doesn't make sense and the final conflict is less than awe inspiring. The acting is terrible, most of the budget seems to have gone on hiring vehicles. If you want zombie nazi's get dead snow, you'll thank me for it later.

Just so you know I LOVE cheap / budget horror movies, but there is a line between a good, bad movie and a bad, bad movie. Sadly this is the latter!

Terrible film. Obviously low budget. Very fake not a good plot or ending I'd rather sit through sex and the city than this again. :/

1.0 out of 5 stars Zombies Of War Movie 16 Jan 2010
Zombies Of War [DVD] [2006]

I brought this and thought it was going to be great - The cover makes the movie look fantastic, but in fact this movie is so bad it's not even worth the time for making any comments - I have seen loads of Zombies and War Movies and this is scrapping the bottom of the barrel. I would recommend anyone whom is thinking of buying this to buy something else or even better give it to the charity Hero's - I rate this movie -100 stars

Avoid this at all cost. The plot is awful and the acting is done by ww2 reenactors. Bad directing and useless camera action provide the final nails in this coffin of misery. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Felt Like A Zombie While Watching This !!!
Basically, I thought the whole film was far too slow moving and thus quite boring. The special effects weren't "special" either. This was probably a low budget movie and it shows. Read more
