It was low budget 3 April 2010
Well despite the mainly negative reviews for this movie, I did enjoy it. I am a massive fan of the zombie genre, and usually highly critical. But I did enjoy the movie.

Ok - the acting was not great, the picture wasn't great, but it was low budget, and considering how little money was spent on it, I think they done a very good job. The special effects were great, lots of gore and ripped flesh.

There was lots of little homages to the great zombie films of the past too with the take outs, characters and plot turns, and some of the set up reminded me of a computer game plot. Unlike the negative reviews, I thought the source of the outbreak had been explained, I didn't find the plot confusing at all.

It does focus around a group of teenage friends who are trying to find help when a military virus causes the dead to come back to life, and of course eat the living. The plot is not orginal, but it is a good story and hopefully the sequel will be just as good.

I think if you are a fan of zombie films, ignore the bad reviews and give this movie a go, its not the worst film you'll see this year.

Being a massive Zombie film fan I thought I would give this film a go despite it's mixed reviews but I can honestly say that this film is so bad it should be illegal to be able to release it to the public and demand money for it.

This film is terrible in every possible way from the poor quality film style, annoying semi slow-mo shots, dodgy camera work, poor acting, terrible script and baffling plot that feels as though it was made up as they went along.

I have watched many Zombie films and I spent most of this film picking apart errors and things that didn't make sense and lacked any thought if you had watched any zombie films before.

An example of this is a scene that sees the cast looking down a long empty alleyway then suddenly we jump to a shot with a wall of zombies only a couple of metres away from them in the same alleyway.

This kind of lack of thinking and poor plot leads to a film that jumps around if you a fan of the genre leaves you sitting there pointing out all the things that would never happen if a zobmie plague was to happen.

The only good thing I can say about this film is that it is short at 75 minutes.

A low budget, predictable, un-original post-zombie apocalyptic event. If you're really bored, you can follow an ever diminishing group of american student age survivors (the fat one always get picked off first) on the run from a town where zombies have taken over. And that's about it. The end. Although, rather annoyingly, it isn't the end - a standoff featuring those survivors who havent been eaten yet finishes when the ominous words "to be continued" fill the screen. So, after wasting an hour and a bit of my life watching the film, (an hour and a bit which could have been better put to use by chasing rainbows, going on a garden fairy spotting hunt, building a chocolate fire guard or inventing something worthy of a Nobel prize, like a Member of Parliament expenses spread sheet etc) I am then invited to waste another 90 minutes or so when the sequel comes out. There will be a sequel by the way - the makers are bound to have plenty of money left over from the money they obviously didn't spend on special effects making the first installment.

Don't be disappointed, spend your money on I Am Legend [DVD] [2007]or 28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later [DVD] [2003]instead.
