Mr. Brooks is now a mini-industry churning out stuff that we will all no doubt find invaluable come the Zombie Apocalypse. And good luck to him I say!

"Know your enemy: Our greatest advantage over the undead is our ability to think. Use your head, and cut off theirs!

"Avoid dressing in chain mail, plate mail, or any other heavy body armor: Without the speed or agility to outrun your attackers, you'll end up as little more than canned food."

And there was I, foolishly thinking of buying myself a snazzy chain-mail outfit for the winter...

These cards are no more than the book repackaged. A nice present for a goth teen, but not if someone already has the book. Actually I suspect that Mr. Brooks is having a bit of a private joke. One card called 'power tools as weapons' consists of nothing more than pictures of a chain-saw and a cordless drill! Still no doubt it'll keep the hardcore zombie fans happy, but he must be laughing all the way to the bank.

And I do wonder, if one plays along with the central conceit, just how useful some of this advice is anyway? How good a weapon is a cordless drill? For starters - what size drill bit do you need? How deep should you go? And do you ask the zombie to hold still for a moment while you drill into his skull? I would think in the heat of the moment the whole thing would be better used as a club...
