4.0 out of 5 stars Mary Millington meets Hammer 13 Aug 2011
Format:DVD
A classic from begining to end. Whether a devotee of bad dubbing, terrible music, Green Nazis or lots of female flesh this film is a must. The swimming scenes are pure Esther Williams, I now know where the phrase "Muff diving" originated.

Nazis under water, what more could you ask for . The story line is not exactly linear. sometimes there's a Zombie attack and suddenly they've gone. The daughter of the Nazi appears to be aged 12 yet the film seems set in the 1970's so she's aged a bit strangely seeing that she is born in 1944 !

The women's basket ball team are magnificant specimins of pulchritude, though I think a nude basket ball game would have made it even better . Some of the other peasant girls killed are not so pretty and in these cases you are just shown a bit of thigh or cleavage.
Peasants with American accents who fire guns like they used to in 1930's cowboys.
It is sad that the romance plot wasn't strenghened to show the poignancy of war relationships but you can't have everything

The battle scenes with explosions - Wohhhhh ! Makes Apocalypse now look like a tea party.
Go on buy or rent it. It's even better after about eight pints and a lamb passanda !

3.0 out of 5 stars Zombie lake - tears of laughter 2 Mar 2010
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
If you like your films to contain lots of naked female flesh, awful music, atrocious storyline and a generous helping of awful dubbing then I would suggest sticking with those 'special' films you keep under the bed! If on the other hand you fancy a daft zombie romp with all the above mentioned you could do a lot worse than this unintentionally funny horror (?) film. It really is hilarious and that's just the way in which the director comes up with interesting ways for the girls to disrobe (he's called A.J Lazer by the way!!!)... then there's the make up!!!
If you like a silly slice of horror porn then you may just find this film amusing and take a chance on it, if on the other hand you are expecting 'The Ring' like twists and shocks and expert storytelling I'd look elsewhere as you'll be very disappointed indeed!

3.0 out of 5 stars Special features (DVD) 27 Feb 2013
Format:Blu-ray
This dvd by Redemption has the same special features as the "Image" one except for some new trailers.
We can see the "clothed scenes" ;) and the alternate English title sequence. The movie can be played with english or french audio (english subs).

3.0 out of 5 stars Overlooked classic (well maybe not, but still fun)
This movie has not what you would call a 'good story' or a 'plot' or
'good actors' or 'a budget' or a director with 'basic directing skills', but still...
It,s fun! Read more
