Worth watching 8 April 2008
Format:DVD
A bride and groom take off on their honeymoon, lazing on the beach one sunny day , out of the water staggers a man , who promptly takes a few chunks out of the groom and kills him. Man dies. Police arrive , groom declared dead in hospital, then wakes up hungry. Groom is not the vegetarian he used to be.
After trying to supress his appitite the groom decided when bride is out that he is starving and a passing jogger takes his fancy , wife comes home to find groom eating the jogger.
From here the film is funny in parts as wife decides that for better or for worse applies, but will she be able to stick by her new husband when he proceeds to eat the policeman/ friends/ neighbours... oh and a travel agent
Not the normal zombie film that you would expect , b movie acting , but funny enough in parts and watchable... if you have exhausted your stash of zombie dvd's try this , it's not as bad as the title makes it look.

Love at first bite... 20 Oct 2011
Format:DVD
Wow, just watched this and loved it! A genuinely fresh, fun and well directed movie. A young couple get hitched and are spending their honeymoon at a beachside summerhouse. This is where "mr seaweed" drags his rotting carcass out of the sea and spews up black bile all over hubby before collapsing dead. Hubby is rushed to hospital where he is pronounced dead, after some tears from the ol' trouble an strife he opens his eyes, definitely not dead and feeling hunky dory. The only difference being, his previous strict vegetarian diet is now fully out the window! He hides his strange dietary requirements from the wife for the first couple of courses but she inevitably finds out. (And we're only 10 minutes in!)

Can The new bride keep their marriage together while hubby's eating their best friends? Is the bond between them strong enough to stop him eating her? How long before his early morning vomiting rituals start to bring up vital organs?

As I am a sucker for wanton zombie madness this film was really a breath of fresh air for me, a solid script read by some very capable actors made me really empathise with the characters. For a 15 it's got plenty of limbs blood and gore and some great set pieces (especially the last fifteen minutes or so). Bright fresh colour and unpretentious camera work ensure you'll remember this gem. Also the soundtrack is pretty funky too, a real treat is waiting for you over the end credits, nice touch!

The romance in a zombie film is usually Ham fisted filler to bulk out the running time but used here as the central theme the film itself doesn't seem to let up, even when it does slow down the story still rolls along nicely. Unlike most films of the genre where you can nip to the shop for a six pack during the exposition and not miss a thing, with zombie honeymoon I couldn't leave the screen! You still reading this? Buy it!

This is a made for tv movie and that cant be denied, it looks cheap , is handled and made badly and doesnt really work on any level. Its a shame because it looked solid enough when i read about it, i was tricked , make sure you dont get your wallet stuck in the trap.
