    4.0 out of 5 stars Zombie FallOut 4 3 Oct. 2011
    By M. Hill
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is the fourth book in the ZF books, concerning the Talbot Family as they try to survive what life is throwing at them. Zombie Hordies controlled by a Vamp (not the nice sort) Eliza. It continues where book 3 left off, not missing a heart beat so to speak. Its red neck dark in places and rather horrid in others, but it balances out with the banter and tribulations of the Talbot family and friends. Once again they find them selves chased by Elizas Zombie Hordies, but this time they have a mission. My only gripe is the story line, book one was and is fresh, but this one appears to be mirroring it in some parts, a bit like dejavu, or here we go again. On a more up beat note, the Talbots keep the pages flowing. Would recommend peeps read book 1-4 as it is more about family survival and would help the reader to appreciate what the Talbots have to deal with. Overall, I enjoyed the book as the Talbots kept me amused including the windy bulldog and BJ. Hope there will be a 5th ;)

    Format:Paperback
    Review of unabridged Audio book

The narrator does an excellent job of telling the tale, and his characterisations are very well done you really get a feel for the post-apocalyptic world. The rag-tag group of survivors are pushed to the limit, again and again. What sets this tale apart from the plethora of Zombie books out there are the clear use of funny anecdotes and sprinkling of great humour. Without giving away spoilers this is a great series of books and the narrative is really well told. The stories surrounding our group, of misfit survivors, are not predictable. I forget to mention that while they are alive the characters are really well rounded. If you have any interest in this type of horror genre you'll love these audio books.

The hotly anticipated ZF4 was definitely worth the wait. The talbots journey just keeps getting better and better. There are new characters and even more action. I loved it (yet again!) what more can I say. Can't wait for the next one Mark!

    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have enjoyed reading this series of books they are really addictive. Mark Tufo has made his character's funny, witty, and sometimes serious, the main character rambles on a bit mainly when its getting dangerous and you just want him to shut up and get on with it. Brilliant read

5.0 out of 5 stars not 'just' another Zombie fiction 18 Oct. 2011
    By SuzeeQ
    Format:Kindle Edition
now I LOVE reading horror novels, call it an addiction, and trust me if there is a Zombie book, film or graphic novel out there I've probably read it, same with vampires and sorcerers. The only thing is though that a lot of the fiction is very similar, you start reading a book and you mentally think, ok so that's the story that they are going with in this one. Essentially you've seen it all before.

There are very few horrow / epic fictions that make you sit back and think, 'wow, really didn't expect that'. For me these moments arrived with King's Dark Tower series, the Indie Zombie flick, Colin and Stephen Donaldson's epic fantasies.

When I first started to read the Zombie Fallout series I had no idea what awaited me. I'd simply bought the first one as it kept on coming up again and again in the kindle lists and I was running out of choices!

When the main character starts his Zombie Apocolypse covered in dog poo I was a little taken aback. When Mark Tufo ripped up the rule book and made his plague both a disease and a supernatural curse, threw in another mythical creature and some psychic connections I was blown away.

These books challange everything that you thought you 'knew' from other Zombie fiction. The characters are funny, lovable and very likely in need of some serious therapy at the end of series. The description of guns and fighting boggle the mind of a girl brought up in a country where guns are illegal and the gore, is well.... gorey!

If you've already read the other ZF books, you will not need my review to persuade you to buy it, just get on with it! If you're starting from the beggining you're in for an awesome ride and true to form, ZF4 will turn your world on it's head and leave you cursing Mark for not having the next one ready to roll.

Oh and I highly recommend that you sign up to Mark Tufo's facebook page, as it's great being able to talk to other fans and Mark whilst we wait for the next one.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent action-fest zombie read! 16 Jan. 2014
    Format:Kindle Edition
If you've been reading my last 3 reviews of this Zombie Fallout series you will know Im addicted to this brilliant series, its my alltime favorite. Mark is the master of the zombie fiction.
Each book has something quite different thrown into the mix and Book #4 is no exception. Still written in journal form but this time everyone is writing in it so we are getting some different point of views. I dont normally like characters jumping around from first person point of view; but Mark has made it work seamlessly into the plot.

Book #4 wow the best yet, another zombie masterpiece; Mike and BT have to be my favorite characters ; everyone needs a BT in the family and Henry of course.
Mark draws you into the whole storyline with brilliant psychological terror, which will get your adrenaline going throughout the whole book #4....if not..then check your own pulse..are you dead?

Book #4 picks up the pace again as we follow several groups of the Talbot family with yet again a fantastic combination of humour and Mike-ism's. Mikes group are off to save Alex's group from Eliza and the plot thickens as they run into more trouble with a redneck bible group.
BT, Mikes daughter and of course; the famous farting hound Henry secretly follow Mikes group...just incase he runs into trouble...no way! Plus Tracey and her rescued group run into their own problems introducing some new characters to the mix. They all finally meet up... Im not giving anything else away....for the amazing showdown with Eliza who once again has hunted Mike down. He risks everything; the ultimate sacrifice to save his family and friends; as he faces Eliza and his arch enemy Durgan with some help from Tommy...but is it really help?

    Yet another unputdownable read!
