I was a late convert to the kindle having only bought one last year. However when I did, the first book I downloaded was Zombie Fallout 1. As a fan of the zombie genre I instantly associated with Mark Tufo's writing style and characters. Ever since I have willingly consumed every other book in the Zombie Fallout saga (In a Talbotesque comment that was not meant to be a poor pun).

Zombie Fallout 6 is the final goodbye to Mike Talbot and his group of survivors. Whilst I won't spoil the story for anyone who hasn't read it before I can safely say that this book does justice to the Zombie Fallout universe that Mark has created.

In truth it's the best zombie genre series I've read and has totally refreshed my thinking on survival horror. In terms of character development, back story and the creation of dramatic tension (the last 3 chapters I barely drew breath), this is the standard that other survival horror writers should be aspiring to.

The writing is intelligent but also human, I never felt that Mike Talbot was Patronising me nor was he keeping me out of the loop (which as a Brit reading an American's account of the apocalypse is very refreshing). The movement between the interested parties in this story was compelling and made me feel as if I was sat above the whole scenario safely watching the disaster unfold.

I am truly gutted that it is over and will now turn my attention to the other books that Mark Tufo has released. If you are a survival horror fan and are looking for something challenging or simply something different, then I heartily recommend the Zombie Fallout saga. Well ZF6 has been written released and read... it has been one of those books and series you wish you could erase from you memory! so that you can read again like the first time!!!!..
The first book caught my attention as i am a fan of zombie acpocalypse books( but not in a geeky way,read all sorts from homer to mark tufo!) the first thing that hit me was the characters bonded in a way that you dont usually get in the sense that they started taking the mick out of eachother even as they get attacked,dont get me wrong there is all the scary stuff you would expect in a world where a few billion people are trying to eat you!
Mark Tufo has added a new direction to Zombie novels and raised the bar at the same time. he has grown as a writer through the ZF series and each one seems to get better and better.
This book has new characters like TRIP, who has to be read to be believed.
dont want to give much away other than there are some real twists to the zombie genre and you really feel and love the main characters....and want to punch some of the others either way you end up having opinions on them.
great ending to the series of ZF or maybe not as MR tufo has left just a sliver of chance to take the TALBOTS forward in other books(I HOPE SO) and of course there are still the matter of millions of zombies still out there even if the main thread has come to its conclusion.
I really never like dolling out 5* reviews as it means that there is no room for improvement, but this book and series i believe cant be improved.... Read more ›

Another amazing read from Mr tufo,another edge of your seat,white knuckle ride that leaves you wanting more!some genuine laugh out loud moments along the way.If you liked the other zf books your going to love this one!
Mark tufo has a rare gift of making the reader genuinely care about the characters he writes,Mike talbot has grown into one of the best characters in fiction today,and his supporting cast is pretty damn good too!kudos Mr tufo,keep up the excellent work!
