About the Author
Lily Vanilli, aka Lily Jones, is a baker and cake designer. Originally a graphic designer, she began baking as a hobby and then started selling her cakes at Swanfield market near Brick Lane. Her cakes are made by hand in her own kitchen in east London, and are available online at www.lilyvanilli.com. She is known for her unusual recipes - she experiments with savoury ingredients such as avocado and bacon - and designs spectacular cakes and other edible treats, such as the marzipan insects she made for an Alexander McQueen film project, or the blood and gore cupcakes created for Maaike Meeking's show at London Fashion Week. The zombie ate my cupcake recipes and decorating ideas are absolutely brilliant, after accidentally ruining my original book I thought I would purchase a replacement in the kit, rather than just buying the book again. This version was a massive disappointment, firstly the kit that comes with the book is not particularly good quality but it is ok from a starter kit point of view, if you have never really done this kind of baking before. The book itself was the biggest surprise, if you have problems with vision DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION the book is, as ever lovely and looks really good, but I cannot read it. As my sight is not perfect the extra small print, and I mean seriously small, the kind of small you see on the bottom of a contract you have just signed, it is impossible to read, I feel it may even be quite uncomfortable for those with good vision.

Some fantastic ideas in this.
I am nervous of trying some of decoration ideas, as my skill level is ZERO.
I have however tried some of the more complicated cupcakes, the pecan, nutmeg and cinnamon ones involve mixing meringue and folding in..... complicated for me.
They turned out just beautiful
I MIGHT get around to trying some of the decorations..... we shall see.
But, just for the recipes for cupcakes and the cookie cutters, this is worth the price.
