I'm quite a big fan of zombie/creature films, including low budget ones, and boy, you can tell this is a low budget one. Sadly it suffers from the problems often seen in bad low budget indie films. The acting is poor, and the special effects leave a lot to be desired, but in a lot of cases these are things that you can look over if the film is fun or silly enough.
With the main protagonist being a zombified chicken that is possessed by the spirit of Lucifer, Zombeak certainly has the potential to be one of those fun bad movies, the acting and effects for example are laughably bad, and during the end credits some fun out-takes from the film are played, and for that I'm willing to give it a few stars. Sadly though the main thing that prevents this movie from being a "so bad it's good" movie for me, is the sound quality. The sound is this movie is very bad, almost literally painfully bad at some points in the film, which makes some scenes hard to sit through. If the film makers had been able to invest in better sound recording equipment, then I could have recommended this film to people who enjoy laughing/riffing on bad movies.
Personally, if you're in the mood for a fun zombie chicken film, I'd have to recommend that you skip this film, and spend your money on the Troma film Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead
