Product Description

* Size 1 litre tin. * Coverage 12.5 m2 per litre. * For interior and spot exterior use. * Greatest stain sealer. * Seals knots and sap streaks. * Seals pet, smoke and musty odours. * Sticks to all surfaces without sanding. * Lightning fast dry - recoat in 45 minutes. * BIN seals surface pores so you use less finish paint. Finish coat has rich uniform appearance, with no "high" and "low" spots. Finish resists dirt better and has better scrubbability. * One coat of BIN kills - that is, covers and locks in even the worst stains that bleed through multiple coats of paint. * With BIN, there is no bleed-through into the top coat to ruin the job. * BIN adheres tenaciously to all dense, smooth and slick surfaces such as: dense hardboard, chipboard, glass, Formica® , ceramic tile, PVC & metal pipes, radiators, grillwork, fire doors, and galvanized ductwork. * No sanding or etching or deglossing agents are needed to get a firm bond. B-I-N provides an "anchor" for the top coat so it can't be chipped or scraped off easily. * Whatever horrible paint or wallcovering may have been used before, you can make a new start with BIN. * One coat will transform the grimmest, darkest colours into a flat white ready for new finish paint or wallcovering.

4.0 out of 5 stars quick drying primer! 22 Feb 2010
I bought this paint for doing multiply undercoat layers in my very cold studio where other paint was taking an age to dry. It goes on smooth and dries fast leaving a nice even coat. I found it was pretty much touch dry in 20 mins or so even in freezing temperatures. Only down side is cleaning the brushes, it took as long as the paint did to dry and I ended up giving up cleaning my roller and using a new one for each coat! Great finish though just heavy on the consumables!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing product without sanding 19 Sep 2013
By Badger
I used this to prime my banisters. I have a condition in my knuckles which has meant that I can't sand without it causing me a lot of pain. This primer has gone straight on top of some manky old varnish without any hassle and has stuck fast. I can't wait to finish my new look hallway now!

Tried branded primer....undercoat.....eggshell took forever to dry!!! Got a spray gun which was a disaster!!!!!
Painter recommended Zinsser which was more expensive but did the job amazingly.
As its very fast drying for smooth results have a jar of turpentine + cotton rag ready and dip paintbrush in jar and wipe clean with rag, continue painting. Results painted 11 units perfectly in record time

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent covering 21 Oct 2013

This primer/stain sealer is excellent for the base coat when transforming the look of pine furniture. No rubbing down, etc., is needed as Zinsser BIN covers and seals, and dries very quickly. I am delighted with the new look of old furniture!

5.0 out of 5 stars Did The Job 8 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase
I am a lady who lives on my own and after having a faulty fan in the bathroom I realised I had mould near my window, behind the blind. Did'nt want to get anyone in as I like to try some jobs myself first. I keyed in my problem into the laptop and came up with BIN paint,I had never heard of it but read all the reviews on your site and purchased it. It was easy to use and covered up my stain lovely. I would recommend this to anyone, just read the instructions on the can and there you are. BRILLIANT

Great primer and sealer. Used it for painting over a varnished ceiling. Saved me having to sand the varnish off as you can just paint over it with B.I.N.

Highly recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive, but up to the job! 6 July 2014
I bought this product after reading reviews on covering stained wood. My skirting boards kept bleeding through, even after 3 coats.
I must admit I questioned whether a 1 Litre can would suffice for all my boards, but I also didn't want to buy the 2.5 Litre (the price for the smaller can was bad enough!)
On opening the can, I was surprised to see that it was very watery, but this turned out to be a great advantage. I was able not only to get round the entire house, but there was sufficient amount left for me to give them a second coat!
The finished product is amazing. Touch dry in 15 minutes, and re-paintable in 45. Even after 1 coat there was no bleed through, but a second coat gave it an almost finished result.
This primer is very expensive, and I certainly wouldn't suggest that it gets used as a regular undercoat. But, for specialty jobs (like painting over stains or metal) it gives an amazing job, and is well worth the money. Without it I would probably have had to give the skirting boards about 5 coats before the bleed through stopped.
