Zeus has broken a vow, and his punishment is to be stripped of his powers and cast into the mortal realm until he falls in love and she loves him in return. Also required is eternal fidelity; not likely considering Zeus’ past.

His love interest Karly is a pleasant character but she is young, quite unsophisticated and naïve which left me questioning whether she could keep Zeus’ interest let alone his complete fidelity for all time. He thinks she’ll be one of his nightly conquests, and although Karly is clearly smitten she’s a good girl who is waiting for marriage. I liked them both, but I didn’t think they quite worked as a couple. That said, I was entertained and will check out the other books available about Hades and Poseidon in the hope they end up with a tougher, feistier heroine. 3½ stars

Glad this was free. This should have been marketed as Young Adult, or teen fiction. The story read like a teenagers version of a dream, no substance, and all angst. The idea had merit, and had the author done justice, would have made a fantastic read.
The characters were awful. Who runs away from their own parents home in pyjamas, for a really really long drive, to go straight to the flat where the other characters who betrayed her also lived?
The male lead character couldn't decide whether he was a hormonal teen (awesome!) or a really old King of God's who happened to run a casino (but not the gambling side :/).
Sorry to be rather harsh, but this was a total waste of time.

A light read that won't take long to finish and ends on a happy note, perfect as a pick me up. It's not my usual type of book hence 4 stars instead of 5, I prefer longer more in depth books with more character detail and more complicated story lines. However this is an enjoyable book that is easy to follow with likeable characters.

A different take on The Greek Gods,
Zeus has been banished form Mount Olympus, until he falls in love, and the woman must love him also... plenty of laughs along the way and a struggle to realise their dream.

I like this book with an up to date view on the God Zeus where he has been banished from heaven until he finds true love that is returned. I plan to read the next 2 God Chronicles books

This was well written but the characters weak and dull. The plot could have been much more and the ending better. Ok but not great and I will not read the rest of the series.

I tried this book because it was free - it was a good read, nice pace and engaging characters. If you're looking for a short romance to read on holiday, its perfect.
