Product Description

Product Description

When Alex makes a temple for the Greek god Zeus, he doesn't expect the god himself to turn up, borrow his mum's nightie and demand a sacrifice at half-past five in the morning. Even worse, Zeus reckons it's time for another Trojan War - in the school playground! Zeus is on the loose.

5.0 out of 5 stars cried laughing, 28 Jun 2008

Our school was visited by John Dougherty - lovely guy, great with the children - and we read Zeus on the Loose as a class book as a result. Well, I tried to read it. Kept having to stop due to hysterical laughter, resulting in tears and having to put book down for a while. Wholeheartedly recommend this book, it's great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun, 20 Sep 2007
By Secret Spi (Germany) - See all my reviews
This is a little gem of a book. My 7-year-old son loved it, especially the idea of Zeus nicking Mum's best nightie for a tunic. There are some classic one-liners in here that had us both in stitches. The illustrations are super, too. Highly recommended for children and parents with a sense of the absurd. We're looking forward to Zeus to the Rescue.
