I picked this up in a bargain bin and on glancing through it thought the Haiku-like poems a bit simplistic and clichéd. However I returned to it when going through a bit of a crisis and found it actually very helpful. Many surprisingly insightful and sometimes moving nuggets of wisdom, though interspersed with musings on the distinctly dotty Zen Transactional Therapy, which I think the author just made up and seems to consist of laughing like a loon at everyone and everything. However, as the man says "beware the seriousness of others", sound advice given the po-faced earnestness of many spiritual guides.
