Reviews

Erotic thriller starring Stephen Baldwin and Kirsty Swanson. Alan (Cameron Daddo) and Wendy Barnet (Brandy Ledford) are a normal couple, who find their seemingly perfect marriage has lost its spark. Wanting to reclaim their passion and make their sexual fantasies come true, they place an advert in a swinger's magazine which leads them to the Zebra Lounge and experience swingers Louise (Swanson) and Jack Bauer (Baldwin). Initially resisting but eventually yielding to the charms of Jack and Louise, Wendy and Alan agree to an erotic liason, which begins their descent into a world of reckless abandon and sexual pleasure. As Jack and Louise become more obsessed, Wendy and Alan realise they are involved in a far deadlier game than they had imagined.

Wendy Barnet (Brandy Ledford) and husband Alan (Cameron Daddo) decide to spice up their flagging marriage and advertise for a couple interested in partner swapping.

They have a joint trial date at the Zebra Lounge with the persuasive Jack Bauer (Stephen Baldwin) and his wife Louise (Kristy Swanson). The Barnet's soon want to cease the arrangement but too late discover the Bauers have become obsessed with them and start relentlessly pursuing the Barnet's.

A promising plot that has all the makings of a fine erotic thriller, but the drama fails to ignite amidst a lack of chemistry between the four actors and routine direction.

This is an entertaining and mildly erotic thriller.
Alan and Wendy are an attractive, thirty-something couple with two young boys, who's marriage has gone off the boil. Alan is climbing the corporate ladder in a food sales company and spending very little time at home with his wife. Wendy works part-time in a children's museum.
Alan fantasises about a liaison with a temp at his office, Marnie. His wife fantasises about a young waiter at a pancake house. They buy a swingers' magazine from an adult shop and start discussing the possibility of hooking up with another open-minded couple.
Soon afterwards, the adventurous spouses place their own advert in the magazine, which comes to the attention of Louise (Kirsty Swanson) and Jack (Stephen Baldwin), another good looking, thirty-something couple. Monogamy is an alien concept to Louise and Jack, and they're partial to role-playing and bondage too. Alan and Wendy end up visiting a swingers' bar, the titular Zebra Lounge, and meet up with Jack and Louise, who definitely don't play games with any rules...
The two couples get it on and, hey presto, the married couple are suddenly all starry eyed about each other again. They think the foursome is a one time thing, but Jack and Wendy are of a very different view, and what follows then is an intriguing tale of blackmail, coercion, deceit and manipulation...
This is a slick and polished thriller. It's well acted and Alan and Wendy are a believable, likeable couple. Jack is a deliciously reptilian and Machiavellian character. The film quite reminded me of Fatal Attraction (Michael Douglas and Glenn Close), save that here, Hell hath no fury like a swinging male scorned. The eroticism is fleeting and mild, on a par with Fatal Attraction.

KRISTY SWANSON IS PROBABLY THE ONE THAT MAKES THIS MOVIE, BUT STEPHEN BALDWIN WAS A PLEASANT
SURPRISE AS WELL. THIS COUPLE REALLY MEAN BUSINESS, AND KEEP THEIR "FRIENDS" UNHAPPY IN A
CONVINCING WAY. I WOULD RATE IT BETTER THAN A B MOVIE, AND PROBALY WATCH IT AGAIN IN THE FUTURE
ON A RAINY DAY.

Normal skin flick, One known actress ( Miss Swanson) One actor (living off good show in Unusual Suspects and the family name) and Two unknown actors, who seems to know their jobs better. Married couple bored with sex life, try to spice it up by swinging with another couple (Swanson and Baldwin) resulting in blackmail ETC ETC ETC.

Zebra Lounge was an interesting tale of what can go wrong when things go stale in a marariage the only thing that slightly spoilt the film was the ending

Kept my interest throughout. Good characters and theme. Shows how easily relationships can be harmed.
