Zantac 75 Relief tablets treat indigestion and heartburn (commonly caused by excess stomach acid) for up to 12 hours. Zantac 75 Relief tablets prevent your stomach from producing too much acid. Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Consult a doctor if you have difficulty swallowing, persistent stomach pain, unintended weight loss, are middle-aged or older with new or recently changed indigestion symptoms - you may need different treatment. Are you taking NSAID painkillers (e.g. aspirin, ibuprofen) regularly? If so, tell your doctor, as they could be the cause of your indigestion, especially if you are elderly. Talk to your doctor before taking these tablets if you have porphyria; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you take more tablets than recommended, seek medical advice. If you need more tablets, do not purchase another pack without the advice of a pharmacist or doctor. If your symptoms get worse or are no better, please consult your doctor. Most people taking Zantac have no problems, however, some side effects may occur, e.g. allergic reactions (rarely) like skin rash; swelling of the eyelids, face or lips; sudden wheeziness; pain/tightness of the chest; feeling faint/feverish. In this case stop taking the tablets and tell your doctor immediately. Other side effects may include: headaches, dizziness, depression, confusion, aches/pains in muscles and joints; jaundice, pancreatitis; slow/irregular heart beat; breast tenderness and/or enlarged breasts in men; upsets to blood counts(very rarely) causing unusual tiredness; shortness of breath; tendency to bruise or get infections. If you feel unwell or have any unusual symptoms, stop taking the tablets and tell your doctor or pharmacist. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not take after the expiry date.
