ZALMAN uses a nanofluid refrigerant that mixes nanoparticles with fluid for maximized thermal conductivity. Each of the dual-radial radiators contains two copper pipes that penetrate a dense cooling fin array, enabling efficient and quick heat dissipation. A 120mm fan blows cool air through the fin surface without adding much noise. An embedded pump delivers low noise and high performance to speed up the coolant circulation for optimized cooling. Best of all, due to the all-in-one design with pre-filled coolant, the installation and maintenance are a snap, without the hassles of liquid filling or tube routing associated with custom water cooling solutions. And the blue LED on the fan and water block creates a luxurious and powerful image. Your game rig not only performs well, but also looks great when the power is on.

In desktop mode fan always working at about 1000-1200 RPM speed, just start to be louder when i start gaming. Nice design.
It is derived from the raw mineral ore bauxite, where it is present as aluminium hydroxide and it is purified via the Bayer process to it's oxide form. Aluminium oxide is also found in Corundum, which is the crystalline structure of Al2O3. Aluminium oxide is also naturally found in the white, powdery material aloxite (which contains high amounts of silica). Aloxite is used as one of the ingredients in the manufacture of ceramics. Digression aside, aluminium oxide has high thermal conductivity and is also strongly dielectric. It is also insoluble in water.
Propylene glycol is metal corrosive and it is mixed with water. I personally have serious qualms with regards to water and PG in a pc (ie - the potential for leaks and short circuiting of hardware). If a leak happens or pump fails, you have 3 substances that will destroy your pc (water, propylene glycol and aluminium oxide particles). The particles of aluminium oxide will be incredibly difficult to remove from expensive hardware (such as a 780GTX!) if leak should occur. I have to wonder what Zalman was thinking. I am sending mine back to Novatech and I will purchase either the Alpenfohn K2 or Coolermaster V8GTS instead.Read more ›
