Does what it says on the box.

Keeps my AMD overclocked 4.5Ghz quad-core CPU nice and cool.
The sound is low at the minimum speed and not too high at max speed

4.0 out of 5 stars This Heat sink works a treat! 4 Sep 2013
This Heat sink works a treat!
Has worked well on my Overclocked system for Many years!
I have customised the fan speed SMART control so it's basically silent when under light-moderate loads, web, watching films...... ect
I used arctic silver 5 originally but just serviced my system and used the paste that came with the heat sink with no justifiable changes to stress testing or idle temps, when I need to use a paste in the future I will just buy a reasonable good quality product as I do not think the boutique pastes are worth it IMO.

The fitting of the heat sink is not the best. It can be a fiddle when working in the case but any problems can be overcome with a bit of patience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent cooler for the price, not too big either 24 Feb 2012
Decided on this for a small spaced computer interior, to cool a 3.4 GHz quad core moderately quietly (I use headphones a lot, so I don't mind some noise). The biggest reason I chose this is the size, it is an aftermarket coolor that isn't ridiculously large, and manages to fit snugly on my micro atx PC. It looks fantastic, which doesn't hurt either. On quiet settings, my cpu doesn't get above 50' when I push the computer.

A very good colour, not too expensive.

One gripe is the amount of force required to clip it into an AMM3 socket, to get it in I felt I was about to break it. Needs a firm hand at installation.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great cooler for a micro atx case. 23 May 2010

A very good cooler that does its job well and runs very quiet. I am using it with an AMD Phenom II 955 BE processor.

I have built my pc in a micro atx case on a Gigabyte Ga785gmt-usb3 m/board with 4gb kingston hyperx DDR3 1333 CL7 memory and a Sapphire HD5770 1gb graphics card. My processor with the stock cooler was idling @ 37c and playing games it was hitting 59c! Much too close for comfort to the 62c max temp for my chip! It was also VERY LOUD! Like a jet plane taking off, truly horrendous!

After some research I decided to buy the Zalman cnps 9500A LED cooler and I could not be more pleased. It was very easy to fit, using the supplied clip, to the stock cooler mounting. It comes with thermal paste but I used Arctic Silver 5 as I already had some.

Now my idle temp is 29c and playing games it doesn't go over 48c in a room temp of 22c. All the while it is very quiet, yes even when the fan is at full speed. I don't usually mention appearances but if you care it looks very nice, a bit like a mini jet turbine made of copper with a subtle blue LED in the middle of the fan. Unlike my stock cooler it definately does not sound like a jet engine!

I recommend this cooler very much.
