Book Description

For more than half a century ZVI has endured as the best-selling book produced by The Friends of Israel. Millions of people have been touched by this story of a World War II waif in Warsaw, Poland. As a 10-year-old Jewish boy, Zvi was separated from his parents and forced to face the trials of survival in Adolph Hitler's crazed world. How he triumphed against all odds and found his way to Israel and faith in the Messiah is one of the greatest stories of our time. This is a book you will find difficult to lay down.

If you ever want to read a book that will inspire your life and challenge your faith, this is the book. Having heard Zvi Kalisher once speak about his life in an hour, I had to buy the book about him to find out more about this Jewish man's journey surviving the holocaust in Poland and finding his faith in Christ. Prepare to be gripped......

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read! 9 Jan. 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This biography is riveting from the first page to the last and was recommended to me by someone who said he couldn't put it down. I can concur as I bought the book and found it excellent reading backed by the fact that it has been written by someone who went through the pain and suffering of the holocaust in World War One. The miracle of his survival and subsequent settling into the new state of Israel, and active service with the IDF, makes for exciting reading. I highly recommend anyone to read Zvi's miraculous story and face up to his challenge. This book can be used effectively in being passed on to our Jewish friends who are curious as to the Christian Gospel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing story 28 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is one of the most touching and amazing autobiographies I have read. The grace of God shown in this man's life, even under the appalling circumstances of the Holocaust, is an enormous encouragement to anyone going through difficult times. It also gives a firsthand view of how Israel, against all the odds, became a nation again. Highly recommended!

This story of a young Jewish boy who survived against all the odds against him in occupied Poland in the 2nd world war, when all his family were put in concentration camps and he had to fend for himself. Subsequently finding his way to Israel discovering that the Jesus is his Jewish Messiah who has been guiding and protecting his life, and as a man was provided with his own family, is well worth reading.
