In OC DNA, you can save your OC settings as a profile and share with your friends. Your friends then can load the OC profile to their own system to get the same OC settings. In IES (Intelligent Energy Saver), the voltage regulator can reduce the number of output phases to improve efficiency when the CPU cores are idle without sacrificing computing performance.

It is the smart start page for IE that combines your most visited web sites, your history, your Facebook friends and your real-time newsfeed into an enhanced view for a more personal Internet experience. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great MicroATX Board, but watch out!! 17 April 2013
By Clashcity Rocker TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE VOICE

I needed a MicroATX board that supported the latest 3rd Gen Intel i-7 CPUs, I also needed a PCI slot for a legacy card which I didn't want to get rid of. This board appeared to fit the bill perfectly.

The "watch out" point I highlighted, is the intel Z68 chipset that this board is based upon supports i-x 2nd Gen CPU's ("SandyBridge") by default, but need a BIOS update to support the latest 3rd gen intel chips (IvyBridge). The board I got had the really old BIOS and the board refused to boot my CPU, which in turn meant I couldn't update the BIOS, true chicken and the egg. I eventually borrowed an old i3 chip from a friend, put that in, updated the BIOS and then it perfectly booted up my i7. ASrock also posted me a chip when I contacted their support (it's a socketed BIOS chip that's easy enough to swap out).

Don't let that scare you off however, if you want a board that has legacy PCI, and still supports the newest chipset features like Smart Response and the like, this is a great choice. Make sure you have measures in place not to get caught out by the above (the same problem applies to Z68 chipsets from other manufacturers too).

This board packs ALOT of features, a couple of USB 3 ports (all on the back unfortunately), loads of USB2 ports, onboard integrated video (HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA and DVI no less), onboard 6 channel audio, gigabit Ethernet.

One of the handiest features however (for me at least) is the magic of the Intel RAID SATA controller, which allows you to use a SSD drive to speed up a conventional HDD. In short, you set the SATA controller to RAID mode, install Windows onto a regular HDD, and when you fit a SSD, it will use that to make your large HDD work at the speed of the small SSD.

5.0 out of 5 stars ASROCK Z68 PRO3-M motherboard 12 April 2014
Verified Purchase
Although I had this a while ago, this proved to be a very good, stable motherboard, with some useful utilities given free by the manufacturer. It has some useful overclocking features for those that need it. The optical output and HDMI output was also very good, and gave very good results with a Pioneer receiver/amp, amd a new flat screen. Been runnning very good with Windows 7.
I added an Intel i3-2100 (3.1GHz), with a nice large Coolermaster heatsink and front and rear fans, plus a good quality Fatal1ty PSU. This is to ensure it works well if we go to Australia (hotter than UK most times).

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product 16 Mar 2012

I ordered this motherboard from Amazon, had cople of problem's with it. The VGA port was not fitting standard VGA cable. I tried few different cables but none fitted. And computer keeps on crashing while installling OS. I send it back immediately considering that motherboard is faulty. As usual amazon was quick to replace the motherboard. I give 5 start for that service.
This motherboard is excellent.Compact size. All the necessary ports i needed including usb 3,hdmi. I have installed ESXi 5 with addional intel desktop gigabyte network card. The inbuild card is also detected by ESXi but it does not get dhcp ( ip ) from router. So avoid it. I have't seen any problem yet but will update comments and review if there is any problem.
I have i5 2400 processor and whole system is consuming about 60 watt in idle including router's power consumption.
Also VT-d appears in BIOS and processor support as well, but it does not work. No passthrough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 7 Feb 2012

Good product, easy to install.
I ended up with an Asrock Z68 PRO3-M Micro-ATX Motherboard (Socket 1155, Onboard Sound and LAN)
Good product, great packaging, useful S/W, easy to install. I had previously tried the Intel equivalent which was just mailed in a plastic bag & an Amazon card covering, no instructions so took ages on the net finding info. When installed = no sound! Returned it & bought an Asus equivalent which was packed better & had instructions but found the Asus box a little damaged, installed & all Dead, be warned! Also remember the power supply goes in 1st so if you want to remove it everything else has to come out. This is for my case, it may not be if you use a full size case, if you use a full size case, use a normal size ATX board.

Here is a complete list of my recent (January 2012) home built PC costing 720 euros.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great board. 26 Jan 2012

Short POST Time
No errors or bsod issues

Worked exactly as I hoped it would out of the box. This board might be a bit more expensive than other 1155 boards but the stability and hassle free experience makes it worth it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very fast boot, intuitive BIOS 12 Jan 2012
By Guy in Ohio - Published on Amazon.com
Using this with a 2600k. I bought it because I wasn't sure I wanted a dedicated GPU and wanted to be able to take advantage of DisplayPort connectivity and the CPU's HD3000 graphics. Everything has been working great (coming up on a week). Instruction manual is clear, BIOS is very full featured yet remains incredibly intuitive (full-fledged GUI is a nice touch).

Very robust board at a great price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easily justified popularity 31 Dec 2011

This board has been one of the most popular miro-ATX Z68 units out there, for good reason. Installation was no problem and it has been perfectly stable since I first booted it up. I love the graphical BIOS and basic overclocking features available right from the start. Also, there are numerous fan headers (especially for micro-ATX) and the stock fan controls work quite nicely in my quiet build.
5.0 out of 5 stars very nice board 23 Dec 2011

- A lot of connectors
- Z68 chipset and Lucid Virtu support
- Easy overclock support in BIOS
- USB 3.0
- Driver support is good

- Placement of power connectors could be better
- I wish they'd just ditched the legacy stuff like the PCI slot and the PATA connector

Overall this is a very nice mATX board. Got all the connectors you can think of at the back. USB 3.0 support and got good number of fan connections.

Got four fan connections, three controllable. (1 by PWM CPU, 2 by voltage)

I've been running this with a i5-2500K and 16GB DDR3 for more than a month without any problems. Lucid Virtu work quite nicely with an ATI HD6850 card.

I really like the fan connections available that I could control using SpeedFan, makes fan noise management a joy.

The power connectors on the board is kind of far away for me, but being mATX it was not a major problem.

There's a fairly useless PCI slot on the board that they should've just put a PCIe slot instead.

The drivers came on the CD are comprehensive but you could easily go to their website and download all the latest ones.
