Synopsis
The design of the front cover has changed and the title on the spine edge has been extended to read: Preston/Chorley/Leyland. The Key Map has been moved to the back cover and the Contents and Reference panel on page I has been expanded to show a new colour scheme that depicts important buildings with different colour infills e.g. educational establishments have an orange hospital and hospices have a green infill. Roads that have restricted access are shown with a purple infill and pedestrianized roads have a pink infill. Fire Stations and Post Offices are now shown by red squares and stars respectively, while Police Stations are represented by a blue triangle. Parking symbols are shown in blue. The scale is shown in metric as well as imperial. In the street index section selected places of interest are now included and highlighted in red type.
