I was interested to read this book as Phyllis Pearsall was once married to my great uncle. I found it quite readable, but some ideas were not well expressed. Knowing of Phyllis through family stories, probably helped to keep my interest up.

I got this book because l found out that she was a distant cousin of my wife, so my wife was happy to read with great attention to detail.
Just as did Mrs P in her A to Z of London, what a woman to do it all single handed.
