My copy of this is dog-eared, i've flicked through it so much!!! Essential reference book for anyone into the history of Formula 1 & 2 (and F5000), gives overview of each car and year raced, as well as an accurate lineup of drivers of the particular car during period raced. A new version is out now which I think covers up to 2000?

This is a great book with lots of pictures and thorough discussions of all formula cars, important and otherwise. It is especially useful for people interested in watching or buying vintage formula cars. I refer to it regularly.

This book covers just about every formula car for the European formulas from just after WWII to the beginning of the modern era. Cars for Formula Junior, Formula Libre, Formula One, and everything in between are discussed in amazing detail. It includes not just complete histories of Lotus, McLaren, Brabham, Ferrari, etc, but all the little teams, might have beens, and also rans that made up the sport for nearly fifty years. Get it.
