Iv'e been a Ian Hunter fan for a while now,(and a big Ronson fan),but this is the final Hunter album I got around to hearing.
I can honestly say its the best one! It was recorded fairly quickly in a couple of months during 1989,and the album simply rocks! The lyrics are generally positive and inspiring, and the album has a great feel-good factor. The mightly Mick Ronson contributes all guitar work to the album, and his hooks and riffs are as moving and melodic as ever. He also plays a instrumental number(Sweet Dreamer) which to me rivals his Slaughter On Tenth Avenue song from 74.
Bernard Edwards of Chic and Power Station fame produced the album, and he adds a feel of catchy soft rock to some of the songs(Sons and Lovers,Livin In A Heart),where as others are pure guitar rock(How Much More Can I Take,Womens Intuition) A brilliant album thats very easy to listen to.
Ian Hunter is caught in time here returning to form with Mick Ronson by his side,if your a fan of either Mick or Ian Please give this a try and hopefully you will love it as much as I.
