Union 13, for the uninitiated, are a legend in their own (or usually somebody else's) back garden. Four angry Hispanic Americans slamming out their own brand of Hardcore mayhem, not afraid to carve out their own style and certainly not afraid to sing in Spanish! Their debut CD, "East Los Presents..." grabbed you by the throat and made you listen, the second "Why Are We Destroying Ourselves" was OK, but lacked production in a bad way. This, their latest, shows a happy medium! The raw energy of the first coupled with the increased melody of the second come together to form what will be a MASSIVE hardcore classic. Get past the acoustic opening (anyone remember the old thrash days circa mid 80s where it was mandatory to have an acoustic opening??) and it's one head-on fight to the finish line! The stand out tracks are "The Game", "Innocence" and the grand finale "Life, death, matter", but 17 tracks in about half an hour is all the hardcore fan needs! And no fillers - just pure entertainment all the way thru! Don't be surprised if you put this baby on loop!

Union 13 are one of the best punk bands that I have ever heard.. This album is fast, furious and very hardcore..It also includes some brilliant songs that are sung in Spanish which somehow makes em better..These are just a bunch of crazy mexicans pounding out good music material.. i would recommend this CD to any good punk fans..well worth every penny..

A very good CD 16 Oct 2000

Union 13 is a very good punk band that may be considered hardcore but nevertheless proves with this CD that they are only getting better. "The Game" and "Beyond the System" are 2 of my favorite tracks. "Soledad" is another one of my favorites even though it is Spanish so some may not understand, yet it is a very good song. The music is very good and fast paced on most songs and the vocals are very fast. It is a very good CD. I would also recommend AFI. They are one of the best punk bands.

To the guy who said AFI is one of the best punk bands? You should hang yourself.

AFI is the worst thing to ever happen to music.

AFI fans are the worst people to walk the earth.

Otherwise.. This is a damn good, album.
