WOW, Tallulah does not mince her words in this book. And what a relief it is not to have to read about glamorous women who's egos are bigger than the clients anatomy they claim to enjoy entertaining. Belle de jour it certainly isn't. This book screams reality, so much so I couldn't help feeling at times like I was hiding in the wardrobe at the brothel peering through a crack in the door. The book is not just entertainment, it is a socio-documentary about the every day life of a sex worker. But what I liked the most about it was the lack of stomach churning justification for going into prostitution. this lady clearly had her reasons and they are mentioned at the start, but she does not bang on like a two bob watch, and clearly did not write the book expecting or wanting sympathy from the reader. On the contrary Tallulah deserves respect because I can only imagine how difficult her life was, but she managed to retain a sense of humour and this had me laughing throughout the book.
Nice one Tallulah, its a relief to read such an honest account, unlike many other fairy tale books of the genre.
