Book Description

1 Nov 2004 Gossip Girl
It's that time again ...time to indulge in a spot of jealousy, betrayal and late-night bar-hopping. Also, the moment of truth has finally arrived. Everyone's back from a week of apres-ski hot tub fun in Sun Valley, and cream-coloured envelopes from the Ivy League are beginning to drop all over Fifth Avenue doorsteps. The question is: are the envelopes thick or thin? Has Nate's devotion to his misbehaving heiress dimmed his chances of getting into Brown? Is Blair too busy daydreaming in Eric's old pinstriped Oxfords to remember her real mission in life - Yale? Hopefully Serena can snap her newest-and-oldest best friend out of it. That is, if Serena hasn't already become too much of a vapid, celery-eating supermodel to even care. But we know that Serena is made of sterner stuff ...don't we?

Product Description

'fabulous - funny and tight as a boob tube.' Observer 'a far superior example of the genre (teen fiction) is Gossip girl' The Sunday Telegraph 'We love the Gossip Girl series ... there's enough gossip, back-stabbing and bitching to character assassinate the entire population of Manhattan. But all done over a lovely cup of skinny latte or three in the cute neighbourhood coffee house. These girls could write Carrie's Sex in the City column in their sleep.' Elle Girl 'A literary phenomenon ... teenagers, it seems, can't get enough of her controversial Gossip Girl Books' Daily Telegraph

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome! 15 Dec 2004
having read all the gossip girl books I have to say this is the best so far. the story deepens and characters that may have seemed a little shallow before are now really good. new ones are introduced and everyone seems to be on the road to self discovery. we find out who gets into college, and as usual everything goes worng for blair. serena turns out smelling like roses and nate, well he's always been a bit imtimidated by blair. jenny's dumped boring leo, at least we think he's not mentioned in the book. but i'd like to ask what the hell happened to aaron, we was so cute. most of all there's a new side to her when yale, her little sister's born she doesn't even want to party any more, but, don't worry there are still juicy story lines.

5.0 out of 5 stars gossip girls is the best! 5 Feb 2005
By A Customer
i have read all of the gossip girls and a massive fan of them all. Once i start reading them i can't put them down. It's definately worth buying, as the story hooks you into it. The characters are so likeable and you can picture them all in your head, from lush nate to beautiful blair to super cool serena. The book is packed with problems that we have all come across or are going to come across. Will we ever find out who gossip girl is? will blair and nate get married? will serena find love? Cecily Von Ziegesar ceases to amaze me with her talent of book writing! Buy it now!
