You're in the movies is a game where you stand in front of a camera (the
Xbox 360 LIVE Vision Camera to be precise which is sold separately or you could get it with
this game as a package) and follow the instructions to make some movie trailers featuring yourself and friends too, up to 4 players in fact. The trailers are for made up films such as Spiders from Space and Kung Fu Capers.
The game also has a series of mini-games in between filming, such as running on the spot so as to avoid a tornado that is coming from behind you. These games help determine who wins the award for best actor at the end of the feature. The mini-games are also available to be played separately if you so wish.
The other feature available in this game, which I haven't used much yet, is to make your own video trailers (instead of the pre-set ones).
As for the bad points of the game the video capture isn't the best. I think you need a completely one-tone background to play in front of because when we play it we keep getting bits of the background getting into the videos, as well as bits of our faces or bodies missing as well.
My 5-year-old daughter loves this game and we are working through each of the movies together making sure to save the ones we like so we can view them later. I might have to get her a
Kinect (which this game is not compatible with) soon to see if she loves that too.
