Product Description

Vinyl LP pressing. 2014 album from Philadelphia's quirky Indie outfit. Modern Baseball are a uniquely contemporary band. Their quirky, tuneful songs convey how it feels to be young and hopeless in modern America - a cracked cellphone clutched in one's hand, subconsciously refreshing social media, hoping to get noticed by that girl at the party and ignored by the ghosts from high school past. Calling on Say Anything's bravado, the Front Bottoms' tongue-in-cheek quirk and the Weakerthans' literary misery, Modern Baseball have made a record with remarkable depth and relate-ability.

This album is catchy, honest and fun. Modern Baseball is the genre's hidden gem. If you like The Front Bottoms I highly reccomend Modern Baseball. Can't go wrong with buying this album

Fun, upbeat, catchy, and easy to listen to. 8 July 2014

Certainly one of my favorite indie popish punk stuff. Fun, energetic, and catchy. I can't wait for more. Tracks like Fine, Great, Rock Bottom, Your Graduation... Hell what am I saying. This entire album is great for long drives, late nights, and just anything you need to get energetic for. Definitely going to get it on vinyl next, as well as try and see them live.

for fans of 90s and early 00s pop punk 17 April 2014

I bought this album on a whim. I was looking for stuff like The Front Bottoms and this album kept coming up. I never listened to a clip or song before this arrived. I was pleasantly surprised when I first listened. It isn't much like The Front Bottoms, but it reminds me of the pop punk from when I was in high school. Wish more of this was still around. I would compare it to older stuff from the Forecast, poppy stuff from the GUK.
HAIL YEAH 19 Mar. 2014

Surprised to receive a BEAUTIFUL blue marble album rather than black, although I wouldn't have cared either way. This record hasn't left our record player since it came in 3 days before expected. Declaring this my favorite album of the year would be presumptuous, but take a listen at how spectacular this band is and you'll probably agree. Definitely my favorite new band. Ten billion thumbs up.
You're gonna miss it all 19 Mar. 2014

I always think stuff can be better but they did a really good job lyrically. Compared to their last album they have matured. I enjoyed the differences between the fast paced poppy songs and the slow paced songs.
