Ths book is not actually BY Tanya Byron, she is the ''Editor In Chief'', which means someone else has compiled it, she has just edited it, and leant her very commercial name to what is a largely standard book on child development, but nonetheless written in a typical Byron-esque, accessible, style.
There are a few useful snippets of advice/ info in there, but if you have any of her other books you'll have them all (and more besides) already.
There are also some well-respected classic child developmental norm books out there already, like Mary Sheridan's Birth to Five Years.
This book is neither ''helpful'' enough to be a true bible for parents looking for child rearing advice, nor ''detailed'' enough for those wanting a good solid account of child developmental norms, as and such feels like it lacks any real substance or credibility.
If you are a fan of Dr Tanya like myself, you may be tempted to buy this book on the weight of her name alone - but your money is better spent elsewhere.

Tanya Byron has written a very clear and comprehensive guide to bringing up a toddler. Well worth buying!

good book
This is a really good read plenty of info on your toddler and developement stages plus i like Dr tanya byron i have watched her on tiny house of tearaways.
