Book Description

1 April 2009
Would you like to understand the deeper spiritual meaning of physical illness, parenting handicapped children, drug addiction, alcoholism, the death of a loved one, accidents, deafness, and blindness?

Your Soul’s Plan (which was originally published under the title Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth?) explores the premise that we are all eternal souls who plan our lives, including our greatest challenges, before we are born for the purpose of spiritual growth. Through compelling profiles of people who knowingly planned the experiences mentioned above, Your Soul’s Plan shows that suffering is not purposeless, but rather imbued with deep meaning. Working with four gifted mediums, author Robert Schwartz reveals the significance of each person’s life plan and allows us a fascinating look into the “other side.”

Each personal story focuses on a specific life challenge, organized by type for easy reference. Accessible both to those familiar with the metaphysical aspects of spirituality and to the general reader, the moving narratives that comprise Your Soul’s Plan help readers awaken to the reality that they are transcendent, eternal souls. With this stirring book as a guide, feelings of anger, resentment, guilt, and victimization are healed and transformed into acceptance, forgiveness, gratitude, and peace.

Robert Schwartz is also the author of Your Soul’s Gift: The Healing Power of the Life You Planned Before You Were Born, which explores the pre-birth planning of spiritual awakening, miscarriage, abortion, caregiving, abusive relationships, sexuality, incest, adoption, poverty, suicide, rape, and mental illness. There’s also a chapter about the pre-birth planning we do with our future pets.

Robert Schwartz is a hypnotherapist who offers general Spiritual Guidance Sessions, Past Life Soul Regressions, and Between Lives Soul Regressions. Visit Robert online at www.yoursoulsplan.com.

Review

"The more we know about the meaning of life, the better we understand the important choices we must make. Robert Schwartz has done an excellent job of presenting the possible explanations of what we are doing here and why we are here. I highly recommend this book."

--Dannion Brinkley, author of "Saved by the Light" and "The Secrets of the Light"

""Your Soul's Plan" is a deeply insightful guide as to why our lives unfold as they do and how to direct them to a deeper place. A powerful book . . . I highly recommend it."

--Sonia Choquette, author of "The Answer is Simple . . . Love Yourself, Live Your Spirit!"

"One of the most detailed explorations I have seen into understanding why we have chosen certain paths in our lives and how we may use that information to continue our journey as a soul here and now. This book will help thousands of people. A book you "have "to have in your library!"

--John Holland, author of "Power of the Soul: Inside Wisdom for an Outside World"

""Your Soul's Plan" is highly recommended to anyone trying to understand the suffering, tragedy or loss that has caused them to question life, death and/or God. And who among us is not inflicted by such challenges and questions in our lifetime? In my eight years researching life after death, spirituality and life purpose, I have discovered no better explanation of why human challenges exist than what is so eloquently written in Robert Schwartz's book."

--Bob Olson, OfSpirit.com Editor

"The serene cover of "Your Soul's Plan" belies the punch with which Robert Schwartz communicates the results of his research into pre-birth planning. Working with four experienced channelers, he asked 10 people, each facing different challenges . . . to delve into the reasons why they agreed, before birth, to put themselves in such difficult situations. Each entry begins with an interview in which the person's story is told from his or her point-of-view. Information via a medium is used to provide insight and sometimes actual pre-birth conversations about the goals or life lessons desired, contributing past-life factors, and the people who contracted to play major roles in the person's present incarnation. Moving us away from the idea of karma as punishment, Schwartz introduces the idea of learning through contrast, for instance, a soul wishing to fully experience her or his compassionate side might choose to be born into a family that lacks compassion.

"In addition to the considerable wisdom provided from the spirit side, Schwartz writes a summary at the end of each chapter in which he adds some of his own insight garnered during years of metaphysical study. Overall, it is one of the best books of this kind I have come across."

--Anna Jedrziewski, "New Age Retailer" Magazine

"Robert Schwartz is an eloquent spokesman for his explorations in the realm few of us have even considered, much less explored fully: the concept of pre-birth planning as a convention of souls who make decisions about incarnation--place, time, circumstances, and challenges--that will heighten the overall improvement of not only their repeated growth in the process of rebirth but also the gift to the betterment of mankind.

"Schwartz's manner of writing is so tender and so lacking in preaching that he gradually draws the reader into his realm of thinking in a way that allows us to suspend any doubt orprejudice we may have about spirituality or after life or universal karma. He uses conversations with people who share their experiences of living with such 'handicaps' as physical illness, parenting handicapped children, deafness and blindness, drug addiction and alcoholism, accidents, death of a loved one and alters the word 'handicapped' to 'challenges'; 'Challenges are mirrors that reflect to us our feelings about ourselves. In that sense, they are gifts. Wisdom allows us to recognize them as such.'

"In addition to discussing the above challenges with particular people who have them, Schwartz introduces us to mediums and channelers who channel the souls of the people we meet, allowing Schwartz to relay to us the conversations between the spiritual world and the physical world. In this very quiet manner Schwartz offers an explanation as to why 'untoward events' happen: his conversations with the various people he shares (for instance the autistic child or the parent of that child) allow us to consider that these choices are made in the spirit world prior to our birth and that these challenges offer the opportunity to separate the physical self-centered being from the choice to make the situations examples of growth, and of revealing love to those around us.

"Schwartz takes no credit for the information he presents in this book. His drive is to open doors to us the readers to consider his findings and philosophy as a means to learning more about how life and the spiritual world are enmeshed. 'I have learned from the wise nonphysical beings with whom I have spoken...Through them I now understand the immense power of this most elemental truth: that we are not our bodies...If youalso know that you planned your disability, that it indeed has a deep significance, then your life may become a quest to uncover that meaning. Suffering is lightened, emptiness replaced with purpose.'
"Writers such as Robert Schwartz challenge our inside the box thinking, encouraging us to suspend prejudice and the state of being uninformed to enter the arena of growing spiritually. The beauty of this enormously moving book lies in the simplicity of the style Schwartz has chosen to communicate. This is not a sensationalized series of speaking with the 'great dramatic seance'; this is instead a welcome to another way of viewing our lives--this one and the ones that have been and will be."

--Grady Harp, Amazon Top 10 Reviewer

"The more we know about the meaning of life, the better we
understand the important choices we must make. Robert Schwartz has done an
excellent job of presenting the possible explanations of what we are doing
here and why we are here. I highly recommend this book." -Dannion Brinkley,
author of Saved by the Light, and The Secrets of the Light

Would you like to understand the deeper meaning of your greatest
challenges?

So often, when something "bad" happens, it may appear to be meaningless
suffering. But what if your most difficult experiences are actually rich
with hidden purpose - purpose that you yourself planned before you were
born? Could it be that you chose your life's circumstances, relationships,
and events?

Within these pages are stories of ten individuals who - like you - planned
before birth to experience great challenges. Working with four gifted
mediums and channels, author Robert Schwartz discovers what they chose -
and why. He presents actual pre-birth planning sessions in which souls
discuss their hopes for their upcoming lifetimes. In so doing he opens a
window to the other side where we, as eternal beings, design both our
trials and our potential triumphs.

Through these remarkable stories of pre-birth planning you can:

*Understand how you as a soul create your life blueprint

*Consciously use your challenges to foster spiritual growth

*Understand that the people in your life, including your parents and
children, are there at your request, motivated by their love for you to
play roles that you scripted

*Deepen your appreciation of and gratitude for life as a soul-expanding,
evolutionary process --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

A fantastic book, easy to read and giving an insight into the "reason why"
unpleasant things or people might cross our path in life and what we are learning from it.
Having listened to Robert Schwartz in London made it all the more interesting.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok but there's better stuff out there 14 Sep 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I did enjoy parts of this book but also found it a little too limited, I think the main reason for this was that the book was targeted at a specific audience of people who had undergone a certain kind of trauma in their lives. Don't get me wrong I think the book will be very helpful to sum and I don't doubt the validity of the information presented in the case studies, but in the same token if you haven't been through a specific trauma in your life it does make ceratin parts of the book seem slightly irrelevant.

I think the fact that the book is divided up into specific trauma sections also does not help the reader, as if im honest I did tend to find myself flicking through the book to read certain sections which I felt were more releavnt to my life rather than enjoying the book as a whole which is a shame really.

What I did like was how the book has been written with conversations between the soul after death and the spirit guide discussing what could have been done different/better est and the explanations of the reasons the soul had been put through certain trauma's for personal growth.

I think for anyone who is just getting interested in reincarnation and lives between lives it will prove very useful, but for others who have a bit more knowledge on the subject may not find it as appealing. Im sorry but there is better stuff out there when I read Braian Weiss's books on past lives I couldn't put them down, same goes for Mr newton's work but this book just simply didn't have the same effect on me and I did start to get a little bored with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Our soul's plan for spiritual growth 14 Feb 2010
Format:Paperback
An excellent book for understanding the mechanics of how we plan our life before birth. It offers meaning to our life circumstances as well as giving us the ability to be more understanding and tolerant of others. As humans we are often too quick to pass judgement on each other forgeting that in essence we are spiritual beings having a human experience. The experiences we encounter in life is not accidental nor coinsidental but preplanned for our own spiritual growth. Reading this book will certainly elevate the mind to another develpmental level of our spiritual awareness.

5 stars dont do this book justice.

This book is hands down one of the most beautiful and thought provoking books I have ever read. Its simply fascinating. Granted, Mr Schwartz's ideas can only be approached with an open mind. I think many people would dismiss the possibilities explored immediately, yet why I dont know. Even if the research uncovered is false and all just a scam (of which I wholeheartedly believe it is not) then at worst its a very interesting theory and an entertaining book which can provide people with hope and faith in their darkest hours? (not such a bad thing really is it?) At best, I truly believe this book hold secrets to the purpose of why we are here and what the meaning of life really is? Quite a statement I know, but I stand by it! The revelations are unbelievable and can truly change your outlook on how we approach life and the struggles we all face, or have yet to face. For anybody interested in the spiritual aspect of life and gaining a deeper understanding of it, and who have read books by authors such as Dr Raymod Moody, Elizabeth Kublar Ross, George Anderson etc etc but are yet to read this masterpiece, I strongly urge you to add it to your basket and proceed to the checkout as quickly as possible. You really wont regret it. It is a MUST READ. Money very well spent.

A balm for all who find it difficult to move beyond traumatic events, this book is a page-turner that finally gives the true meaning of tragedy and accidents in life and answers convincingly "why did this happen to me?" It reveals the true meaning of suffering and how we can use that suffering to evolve. It also brings home the need for us to not only have faith in God's loving plan for us, but also in our own wisdom and strength. A beautifully written book, inspiring and meaningful for all who have experienced deep suffering and pain and who are struggling with guilt, bitterness and the seeming injustice of life.

This book gives fantastic insight to the pre-birth planning and why we choose the traumatic routes we do.
With real life case studies and mediumship readings.

Having lost my fiancee I wanted to find out why this had happened at such a young age - and this was fantastic and helped me to view the experience from a different angle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Your Soul's Plan by Robert Schwartz 4 July 2009

When I read a flyer for a forthcoming seminar in Ireland I was immediately attracted to the subject and bought the book.
I have just finished reading it and it is a super read. I found it so exciting(like a pacy novel!) that I found it hard to put down!
For anybody interested in the "bigger picture" I believe it is a must read.
I am looking forward to the seminar and to reading any further books by the author. I will definitely read it again and again!
P.S. I did attend the seminar and met the author who is a lovely gentle and inspirational soul. I have purchased this book many times as presents and regularly recommend it to others.
