The approach taken by the authors gives the impression that the book has been aimed at students who want to do their best. Other books have been written on how to write up reports effectively, but this is the first book I have personally read which takes the reader through from the very start to the very end of the project process, and includes crucial aspects such as the relationship with a supervisor and effective literature reviewing; areas I would not have given much thought to as so much focus is on the final written report.

Whilst reading the book I felt like I was being directly addressed, the text was easy to follow and pitched at an appropriate level for undergraduates. The layout is very clear and manages to prevent a complex topic such as report writing from reading too densely.

Overall, I am very impressed with this book and have personally recommended to some of my fellow students. The previous reviews are well deserved and I will definitely use this as a reference throughout my future academic projects.

This book is written by tutors with years of experience in helping students through the terrifying experience of preparing, running and writing up their third year psychology project independently with only a few hours supervisor advice to guide them along. They need be terified no more as this text contains absolutely all you need to know to produce an excellent project and contains many useful tips in the form of 'maximising marks' and 'common confusion' boxes to answer those niggling questions of difference that only occur whilst trying to write up at 2 in the morning. Well done authors - this is a must have for third years!
