Format:Audio CD
Most ME cd's deal out a fairly good mix of rock and roll and softer ballads and while 'Your little secret' does feature a 50/50 balance but the slower tunes somehow seem to fade into the background of the drum and guitar heavy tracks on the album.
Therefore it should appeal to the fans of the songs that cement Melissa Etheridge's place in rock and roll history but also those who have an attachment to her slower more melancholy songs. As for those who like both this is obviously a must have!
I personally don't think this album comes close to 'Yes I am' or even the relatively newer 'Skin' in terms of lyrical and musical brilliance but it does boast some good pieces of work.
Most notable are the famous 'I want to come over' and the title track but others worth getting your hands on are:
Nowhere to go
All the way to heaven
Shriner's park
Change
This war is over

I have had this CD for going on 15 years and still enjoy getting it out and listening to the album. This was amazing when I was younger and struggling to come to terms with myself - Just to know there were other Lesbians out there and ones that had such power, raw energy and soul filled me hope and wonder for the future. Guess I'm a little biased as the CD is so tied up with my teenage years but it is still a fabulous album.

Format:Audio CD
A good solid CD from Melissa, with a mix of soft, flowing tracks and some good hard rock tracks. As with all her previous releases, she seems to know what she is saying, but on this CD she seems to be losing the direction in which she is going.
From the gentle, heartfelt tracks of Shriners Park, and Nowhere to Go, through to the pulsing rock beats of An Unusual Kiss, her talent shines through, and this should appeal to her established fans, as well as new listeners. Buy it.
