4.0 out of 5 stars Saves you time and energy 7 Mar. 2011
By Jewel
Format:Kindle Edition
This blog does exactly what it says on the tin. Author Monica Ricci's posts include "5 ways disorganisation wastes your money: (1) having to re-buy something you can't find..", and "When just the minimum is enough" (illustrated by an amusing cartoon). She has an inspiring "Quote of the Week" spot. She also recommends gadgets and items to help you become tidier. This is an American blog, but many of the items are available in the UK, or can be bought from American websites as long as you are happy to pay for them in dollars. I am pleased to report that I now know what a "Magtack" is!

All in all, an enjoyable and worthwhile read.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too little Content to warrant subscription 6 May 2010
By Sarah - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
This blog seems to update about every 4-5 days. Often the post is only a quote. Last week the post was a video, so it was useless for the Kindle. Try reading the blog online to see if it appeals enough to you to subscribe. I didn't find it worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars The second opinion! 15 Mar. 2010
By Ben B - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm a pack rat! There, I said it (but not in front of my wife shhhh!) I like to keep things "just in case", or things that have "sentimental value". I found out that I was a pack rat the first time I moved. The next time, wasn't that bad, but the last time I realized that I had a problem. Now that I'm seven years into my latest house, I can see the accumulated "treasures" and realize that they need a quick "tweak". I also knew I needed a second opinion (other than my wife) and Monica IS that second opinion!

My attitude about what I AM saving hasn't changed much, but she did lead me in a direction where I can "de-frag" (like the computer hard drive) my possessions, and get them into a workable condition where, if they ARE of use, I know where to find them, and then after a while, know when to part ways if I don't use them! I don't know if I can really begin to inventory everything that lurks in my storage spaces, but I have a better idea or what's there!

I'm not quite there yet, but it's better! Thanks for the tips Monica, maybe I'll work on a little time management so I can tool around your site a little bit more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Monica is the real deal, baby! 25 Mar. 2010
By Amy Raser - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Ricci's site has it all; and I've got to say Monica (if you read these things), that you are the total package. No matter how you like your information, she's got your number. Want your information in print? Covered. Wanna see a video with Ricci herself showing you how to do it? Covered. Wanna see before and after pictures? Covered. Wanna be more green? Covered. Are you twitter, kindle or facebook geeks like me? Covered. I've learned more genuinely useful stuff browsing lazily through her site for 15 minutes than I have in some day-long meetings.

But perhaps most importantly, she doesn't just show us HOW to organize our lives, she helps us understand WHY we got so cluttered in the first place. That way we can head it off at the pass before we're overcome by the stampede. "your life. organized." wow. that's a tall order. but with Monica's help, I'm beginning to see the light at the end of a very long tunnel. sweet.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Life. Re-organized and Re-energized. 14 Mar. 2010
By Amy Hudak - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Monica Ricci's blog "Your Life. Organized." is a lot like a box of chocolates: each time you take a bite, you find some new treasure to enjoy. Whether it's a written nugget of wisdom about organizing ("... just saying NO ..."), or a podcast about repurposing everyday items ("Multi-Purpose Products Multiply Organizing Success"), her common-sense approach helps you tackle the sometimes daunting job of organizing your life.

Monica and her blog function as change agents, providing you with useful information and positive reinforcement to help you get your life back under your control. She provides regular motivational and inspirational quotes that point you in the right direction, and to remind you that balance is the key to a happy and successful life.

2.0 out of 5 stars thought this would be great but was disappointed 24 April 2010
By M. Lytle - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Maybe I just didn't give it enough time, but tried the free subscription and was disappointed. Only 1 tip that was helpful over two weeks. The rest were quotes, travel updates, etc. More content needed to make this valuable to me. Nice idea though - I'm an organization freak and this would have been right up my alley if there were more meat to it.
